Miss World 2018 Top 5 Question and Answer Round

Miss World 2018 was indeed a grand event as Vanessa Ponce De Leon of Mexico was crowned the new queen tonight by her predecessor Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar. But before she was crowned, the Top 5 delegates, who were also the continental queens of beauty, had to go through the most difficult part of the evening – the Question and Answer round.

While each of the contestants answered their question with fluency and eloquence, Vanessa’s answer surely helped her to win the title. So, without further ado, let's take a look at the question and answer round of Miss World 2018 –

Miss World Belarus 2018 Maria Vasilevich

Maria Vasilevich was asked the question by Former Miss World Rolene Strauss, “How do you plan to build on the legacy of Manushi Chhillar?” to which the gorgeous beauty from Europe replied that Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar has done a great job in her reign and that everyone is very proud of her accomplishments. She also said that given a chance, she would love to continue the great work through her own Beauty with a Purpose project which is connected with disabled people and disadvantaged children.

Miss World Jamaica 2018 Kadijah Robinson

On being asked, “What is the greatest obstacle you had to overcome in your journey to Miss World”, Kadijah replied that the greatest obstacle she had to overcome was of self-confidence and she is glad that she did it because that made her reach this Miss World stage. She also talked about how she doubted herself when she was younger and it took her a long time to overcome this obstacle but she did it through communication with self. She also told everyone who was listening to communicate with themselves, to find their niche.

Miss World Mexico 2018 Vanessa Ponce De Leon

Vanessa was asked the question by Miss World 2013 Megan Young, “How would you use your influence as Miss World to help others?” to which she confidently replied that she would use her influence just the way she has been doing it for the last three years and become an example for others to follow. She also talked about how we need to be kind and care about others in the world. To make a change, one has to take a step and anyone can help if there’s a will to do it.

Miss World Uganda 2018 Quiin Abenakyo

On being asked the question by Miss World 2016 Stephanie del Valle that “What unique quality would you bring to Beauty with a Purpose?” Quinn replied that she is very passionate about cooking and that love can be shown through food. Working to fight teenage pregnancies in her country, Quiin talked about how people can generate ideas when they come together and solve problems in countries and that’s exactly what she would do through her passion.

Miss World Thailand 2018 Nicolene Limsnukan

Nicolene Limsnukan was asked the question by none other than the reigning Miss World Manushi Chhillar that, “What strengths would you bring to the role of Miss World?” to which the gorgeous Asian beauty replied that the strength she would bring to the role is passion and love for the project that she started named ‘Kids for Autism’ as a helping hand also for her little brother. She also talked about how people can move the world as long as they have passion and change the world to make it a better place.
