As Miss World 2018 came to an end with Mexico winning the coveted title, a lot of hearts shattered in Nepal as Shrinkhala Khatiwada could not make it to Top 5 at the finale. Even though she was a part of Top 12, the Nepali beauty missed the next cut. Nevertheless, her followers have given her undying support and are still congratulating her on her outstanding performance in Miss World.
From the very beginning of the competition, Shrinkhala had proven her metal in Miss World 2018. From being an active participant in every event and competition to winning two major preliminary competitions, she maintained a strong foothold in the competition. The 23-year-old Architect proved that she was not to be taken for granted from the initial stage of the pageant.
Aspiring to be the first female Prime Minister of Nepal, Shrinkhala wishes to bring a change in her country through her efforts and dedication. She was also the winner of the Beauty with a Purpose competition where she showcased her project of setting up a health care centre in The Chepangs, an area untouched by modern development where a huge population is settled in villages with unhygienic living conditions and filled with poverty, malnutrition and superstitions.
Shrinkhala also went on to win the Multimedia award which showcased the best interaction of delegates with their fans through social media. It also proved that not only is she talented and dedicated to her dream, she also keeps in touch with the people who have made her reach this great platform.
At the finale as well, Shrinkhala maintained her calm winning everyone with her mesmerizing smile. With so many fans cheering her on at the finale, it was surely known that the support for her was relentless. Even with her loss, Shrinkhala has won over millions of hearts and that has made her a beauty queen in the truest sense!
