Miss World 2018 is all set to host its grand coronation night on 8th December 2018 at Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China where Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
At the finale contestants who make it to Top 30 quarter-finalists will be announced initially which will comprise of ten winners of Head to Head Challenge, winners from fast track events and remaining finalists to be selected by the jury. Thereafter, the shortlist will be pruned to Top 15 semifinalists and Top 5 finalists, before announcing the runners-up and winner. Besides, the continental queens will also be announced at the finale.
We will update the results from the event (including preliminaries), as and when they are announced.

Winners of Fast Track Events
The Top Model winner is Maëva Coucke of France. She became the first contestant to enter the Top 30 of Miss World 2018. Peirui Mao of China, Aissatou Filly of Senegal, Ah Cho of Korea and Thulisa Keyi of South Korea were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
Miss Talent winner is Kanako Date of Japan as she became the second contestant to enter the Top 30. Mao Peirui of China, Hanna Begovic of Canada, Agata Biernat of Poland and Larissa Ping Liew of Malaysia were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
Sports Challenge winner is Marisa Paige Butler of the United States who entered the Top 30 by virtue of winning the event. Vanessa Vargas of Bolivia and Leonie Hesselink of Netherlands were the first and second runners-up respectively.
Miss Multimedia winner is Shrinkhala Khatiwada of Nepal who entered the Top 30 of Miss World 2018 with her win. The first runner-up award went to Miss World Mexico 2018 Vanessa Ponce De Leon and second runner-up award went to Miss World Kenya 2018 Finali Galaiya.
Beauty with a Purpose award also went to Shrinkhala Khatiwada of Nepal. The positions of first and second runner-up were both tied between two countries. Indonesia and New Zealand took the position of first runner-up and Mexico and Vietnam took the position of second runner-up. Read more about the BWAP projects of all the winners.
Designer Award was shared between Peirui Mao of China and Thulisa Keyi of South Africa. Larissa Ping Liew of Malaysia, Carla Rodrigues of Portugal and Nicolene Pichapa Limsnukan of Thailand were the part of the Top 5.
Head to Head Challenge Groups and Winners
118 contestants of Miss World 2018 were grouped into 20 groups for head to head challenge and a winner from each group was selected. The 20 group winners than presented their BWAP projects to a jury comprising of Megan Young, Stephanie del Valle and Manushi Chhillar, and the presentations were made by 10 pairs of contestants, and a from each pair a winner was selected who moved on to Top 30. Below interesting contests were witnessed in the head to head challenge finale.
Mauritius v/s France
Anne Murielle Ravina of Mauritius beat Maëva Coucke of France to win the challenge. Maëva Coucke has already advanced to Top 30 by winning the Top Model challenge.
Venezuela v/s Philippines
It was a tough contest with two very strong contenders for the title competing against each other and Veruska Ljubisavljevic of Venezuela emerged as the winner with Manushi and Stephanie voting for her beating Katarina Sonja Rodriguez of the Philippines, who received Megan’s vote for her presentation. Thankfully, for Katarina, this was not an elimination and she surely has a chance to make it to Top 30 finalists at the finale.
Nigeria v/s Bangladesh
Jannatul Ferdous Oishee of Bangladesh was the unanimous choice of the jury as she beat Anita Ukah of Nigeria.
Chile v/s Lebanon
Anahí Hormazabal Garay of Chile was the unanimous choice of the jury as she beat Mira Al Toufaily of Lebanon.
Malaysia v/s Guadeloupe
Larissa Ping Liew of Malaysia was the unanimous choice of the jury as she beat Morgane Thérésine of Guadeloupe.
Myanmar v/s India
Anukreethy Vas of India received the votes of Megan and Manushi in her favour to defeat Han Thi Thet Lwin of Myanmar who received the vote of Stephanie. Even though Han Thi lost this round, we would love to see her advancing to the Top 30 finalists at the finale!
Nepal v/s Singapore
Vanessa Annelise Peh of Singapore was the unanimous choice of the jury as she beat Shrinkhala Khatiwada of Nepal. Shrinkhala has so far performed very well in the contest, and we would like to see her advance to the Top 30 finalists at the finale!
Thailand v/s Bulgaria
Nicolene Pichapa Limsnukan of Thailand was the unanimous choice of the jury as she beat Kalina Miteva of Bulgaria.
Mexico v/s Trinidad & Tobago
Vanessa Ponce de León of Mexico outsmarted Ysabel Bisnath of Trinidad & Tobago to win this round with all judges voting in favour of her excellent presentation.
Argentina v/s Uganda
Quiin Abenakyo of Uganda managed to get full support from the jury to beat Victoria Soto of Argentina, and this is probably the first time ever that Uganda has made to the Top 30 finalists of Miss World contest. It’s good to see Quiin advancing as she is surely the most promising contestant from Africa in Miss World 2018.
