For someone to win the Miss Multimedia award in Miss World, they need to have the most number of audience and engagement in all their social media platforms and this year Miss World Nepal 2018 Shrinkhala Khatiwada broke all record by having just that, and now she is one of the Top 30 finalists in Miss World 2018.

The Miss World Organization wrote on their official site, “Nepal took social media by storm, clicking her way to the number one spot, and securing her place in the Miss World Top 30; after winning the Multimedia challenge which evaluates the contestants based on all social media platforms, audience engagement, creative content and influence.”

The organization continued, “This year the Miss World Multimedia Challenge has pushed boundaries, broken barriers and has caused social-media to be ablaze! The record amounts of social media traffic generated by all 118 delegates from social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, MobStar, Twitter and ModelPowerLive have been staggering! The 2018 Miss World contestants have jumped at the opportunity to raise their social media profile – using a variety of content; documenting their amazing journey, showcasing the wonders of beautiful Sanya, and highlighting the powerful work of Beauty With A Purpose.”

Shrinkhala Khatiwada is 23 years of age and stands tall at a height of 170 cm. She has a degree in Architecture, and being the smart and intelligent woman that she is, she used her career choice as a way of helping those in need. Her Beauty with a Purpose project aimed at designing & building health centres for remote village, which won her the Beauty with a Purpose award as well making her the only recipient of two Fast Track awards and saving herself a sweet spot in the finale of Miss World 2018. Shrinkhala was also one of Angelopedia’s Top 20 favourite delegates for the Miss World crown this year.

Apart from Nepal, the other two delegates that came in second and third position in the Miss Multimedia award category were Miss World Mexico 2018 Vanessa Ponce De Leon and Miss World Kenya 2018 Finali Galaiya, respectively. Out of the two, Vanessa was able to secure a position amongst the Top 30 finalists through the Head to Head challenge.
