Miss World 2019 delegates dazzle in Head to Head Challenge (Group 10)

Miss World 2019 is ready to host its finale on 14th December 2019 in London, UK. The delegates are putting their best foot forward for holding onto a strong position in the competition. The Head to Head Challenge of Group 10 was held on 1st December 2019 in London where the beauty queens from Tanzania, Nepal, Gibraltar, Poland, Mexico and Cayman Islands talked about their “Beauty with a Purpose” project as they introduced themselves in the competition.

The Head to Head Challenge is presented by Miss World 2016 Stephanie de Valle and reigning Miss World 2018 Vanessa Ponce de Leon. The Miss World provides the audience with in-depth information about the delegate as well their Beauty with a Purpose project. The delegates’ introduction videos were shown and then Vanessa talked to them about their project. The divas answered the questions very gracefully and firmly.

Let’s look at the delegates of Head to Head Challenge Group 10 -

Sylvia Sebastian Bebwa Miss World Tanzania 2019

Sylvia Sebastian is 19 years old and a proud representative of her country Tanzania. In her introduction video, Sylvia gives a little glance of the culture and views of Tanzania as it is surrounded by Mount Kilimanjaro. She also introduces thbat her country has Africa’s largest lake and is known for its unique species of fishes. Sylvia was in the military and explained that during her time in military she learnt discipline, self-defense, and moral skills. While talking about her “Beauty with a Purpose” project, Sylvia explains that while she was growing up, she wanted to be a doctor but couldn’t get into medical for some reasons but would want to do anything in her power to raise awareness. She has chosen “Awareness against Hydrocephalus”; it is a condition in which an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid occurs within the brain. This typically causes increased pressure inside the skull especially in woman and children. Sylvia feels that she has a purpose of creating awareness about this threatening disease

Anushka Shrestha Miss World Nepal 2019

Anushka Shrestha is a proud representative of Nepal for the title of Miss World 2019. When asked about her “Beauty with Purpose” project, Anuskha mentioned that it is around “Capability Development”. She mentioned that, it is a pilot project starting with the remote village, basically focusing on the mothers and the children of the families. With this project she wishes to take a step towards educating them, providing scholarships, adding more teachers with more teaching material and teacher training. Knowing the fact that only funding through donations wont last long, so making their parents active income generators would be another step with this project. Helping them with practice on their and some new market skills like carpet weaving, stone making and many more so that they could fund their own children’s education and raise them better.

Celine Bolaños Perera Miss World Gibraltar 2019

Celine Bolanos is a 22-year-old model and a proud representative of Gibraltar for the title of Miss World 2019. She is very much passionate about her dancing and acting. She believes that she can tell a story and depict emotions through movements. While in conversation with her about the “Beauty with Purpose”, where she addresses about her aim of eradicating the barrier between the mental and physical health. She also told about her mental health issues. Depression and anxiety years ago and how she survived it. She wants to help and come out to others as a ray of hope who are constantly suffering in silence.as already people know about what mental health is, she not only wants to raise the awareness but also, she wants to be completely pro active and take a step for 30,000 people of Gibraltar.

Milena Sadowska Miss World Poland 2019

Milena Sadowska is proud representative of Poland for the title of Miss World 2019 in London. She is a very strong and independent women who knows that the hard work and commitments are the keys to success. She is currently studying Journalism to be a TV presenter. Dunkel II is Milena’s role model because he had a huge heart and loved people with that big heart. When asked about her “Beauty with a purpose” project, Milena mentioned that her project started with a humanitarian mission with cooperation with monomeric foundation. She wants to provide education to the children of Ghana. Milena stated that she hosted a charity ball event and the money collected through the event and shirt sales will be donated to complete the school in Ghana so that the children can have the education they need. She also wants to build awareness and attitude of tolerance in Poland.

Ashley Alvídrez Estrada Miss World Mexico 2019

Ashley Alvidrez is a proud representative of Mexico for the title of Miss World 2019 in London. In her video Ashley mentions that she has a very loving and supportive family. She is passionate for outdoor activities comes from a huge amount of time she spent with her grandfather. During her middle school and high school, basketball was her favorite but in junior year she figured out that she wants to turn her passion towards modeling. Asking about “Beauty with a Purpose”, Ashley explains that she comes from a border city and wants to focus on immigration. She tells that since she lives nearby to the houses of immigrants, she visits them often and want to help them upgrade their lives better. She’s trying to get the immigrants and people of her community with the necessities for their survival especially medical and education.

Jaci Patrick Miss World Cayman Islands 2019

JC Patrick is going to represent Cayman Island for the title of Miss World 2019 on 14th December 2019 in London. JC feels blessed to belong to a country where women stood up for their right to vote. JC dealt with anxiety as a teen and thus have collaborated with Mental Health organizations in Cayman Island to bring awareness about Mental Health and Mental Wellbeing. She wants to become an actress and she started acting eight years ago. After facing a lot of rejections, JC was picked for a leading role in a play called Proof and according to her that moment on stage she felt that it was all too good to be true. Her “Beauty with a Purpose” project is spreading awareness about mental health. She works with a foundation Alex Ponton which is in the loving memory of Alex who took his own life. The foundation closely works and tries to create awareness among children and young adults about mental illness and mental wellbeing through advocacy and support. JC Patrick wishes to take advantage of the Miss World 2019’s platform and advocate her thoughts about how one should be when dealing with Mental Health. She urges them to be gentle on oneself and accept as they you are and it’s okay to not be fine.
