The Head to Head Challenge of Miss World 2019 Group 16 was held on 3rd December 2019 in London. The presenter Miss World 2018 Vanessa Ponce de Leon met the delegates of Finland, Macau China, Argentina, Kenya, Belarus and Ukraine where they introduced themselves with a short introduction video and then later acknowledged their “Beauty with a Purpose” projects.
The delegates have been on their toes to maintain their position in the competition and win the title of Miss World 2019 for their respective countries. The main event of Miss World 2019 is all set to be held on 14th December 2019 in London. The reigning Miss World 2018 Vanessa Ponce de Leon will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Dana Mononen Miss World Finland 2019
Dana Mononen is representing Finland for the title of Miss World 2019 in London on 14th December 2019. Dana confesses that she is very passionate about fashion since she was a little girl. Dana introduces her “Beauty with a Purpose” project by explaining that she is passionate about helping children especially young girls with getting the high-quality education. She has joined a school as an ambassador to help young children in the developing countries to get high-quality education. She further explains that the school provides an artificial intelligence powered learning platform as this works as a substitute of the qualified teachers missing from the world. Finland ranks in the top countries when it comes to education system. With her initiative, Dana feels that she can bring the change in the world and let every child have the education they deserve.
Yu Yanan (Carolina Yu) Miss World Macau 2019
Yu Yanan is representing Macau China for the title of Miss World 2019 in London. The coronation ceremony will be held on 14th December 2019 where the reigning Miss World 2018 Vanessa Ponce will crown her successor. Yu’s “Beauty with a Purpose” project is volunteer teacher as she has been volunteering as an English Teacher since last year. She mentions about visiting a small village located in the North of China and then learning that how the children of that village must walk for five miles to another village to go to school. She also learned that the school, children were going to have one teacher. So, to tackle the situation, Yu build up a team of five volunteer teachers for different subjects and got a sponsor to support them give the children the education. She also mentioned that her team raised funds for the children’s textbooks. Her aim is “Wisdom in mind is better than the money in hand”.
Judit Marianne Grnja Miss World Argentina 2019
Judit Grnja is representing the country of Argentina for the title of Miss World 2019 in London. Judit is currently studying to be a public accountant. The last two years, Judit has served others and have been available to the people who needed help. After being crowned as Miss World Argentina 2019, Judit has become a voice to her country and believes that she can be available for the people who need help at times. She has grown more compassionate towards people.
Maria Nyamai Wavinya Miss World Kenya 2019
Maria Wavinya is representing Kenya at the Miss World 2019 competition in London. The delegate from Kenya, Maria Wavinya’s “Beauty with a Purpose” is to end menstrual poverty and menstrual shaming. Maria begins to explain that while she was touring around the country, she saw a lot of young girls trading their bodies sexually in exchange of sanitary towel/napkins. She mentions that she has seen and heard young girls taking their lives because their female teacher rebukes her because she has menses on her dress. Maria joined hands with an organization named “Heels and Pads” and together they have been into a lot of schools and slums to help the women, young girls to educate and empower them about the menstrual. She also mentioned that she auctioned her Miss World Kenya 2019’s heels to raise funds for the sanitary towels that they distributed in the Kenya’s dangerous slums.
Anastasia Laurynchuk Miss World Belarus 2019
Anastasia Laurynchuk is representing Belarus for the title of Miss World 2019. Anastasia’s “Beauty with a Purpose” is focused on creating adaptive parent support system because in Belarus adoption is a challenge. She further explains that people who are ready to adopt an orphan, the outside world does not support them and try to bring them down. She believes that orphans only need a loving family to grow in and people should be more considerate and encouraging towards families that wishes to adopt. She wishes to be a certifies psychologist in future to help the adoptive families professionally.
Margarita Pasha Miss World Ukraine 2019
Marharita Pasha is representing Ukraine for the title of Miss World 2019 at the coronation night being held om 14th December 2019. Already a major in Gymnastics and now pursuing her higher education in Law, Marharyta’s “Beauty with a Purpose” project is focused on creating a sport boarding school for the orphans as a global charity project. She believes that the sport boarding school can help in developing physical as well as mental body of the children who do not have parents to look out for them. Sports has been an integral part of her life and she hopes that these schools can help the children in overall development as the schools would provide better living conditions and atmosphere to live in compared to the condition the children live now. She personally is determined that the qualities that sports can teach you, nothing in the world could.
