Miss World 2019 delegates excel in Head to Head Challenge (Group 18)

The Head to Head Challenge of Group 18 was held on 4th December 2019 in London where the beauty queens representing countries of Uganda, Vietnam, Cambodia, Montenegro and Mauritius spoke about their “Beauty with a Purpose” project as they introduced themselves in the competition. The coronation night for Miss World 2019 is on 14th December 2019 in London, UK. The delegates are strong, firm and very dedicated towards the winning of the competition. Vanessa Ponce de Leon Miss World 2018 will crown her successor by the end of the event.

The reigning Miss World 2018 Vanessa Ponce de Leon along with Miss World 2016 Stephanie de Valle are the presenters for the Head to Head Challenge. Miss World 2018 Vanessa Ponce de Leon provides the audience with in-depth information about the delegate as well their Beauty with a Purpose project. The delegates’ introduction videos were shown and then Vanessa asked them some questions related to their project.

Oliver Nakakande Miss World Uganda 2019

Oliver Nakakande is representing the country of Uganda for the title of Miss World 2019 in London. Introducing her “Beauty with a Purpose” project, Oliver mentions that it is increasing literacy teenage rate as one of the ways to fight teenage pregnancy in Uganda. The people of Uganda are very unfortunate in terms of obtaining basic needs for the survival. The girls are struggling with their survival and they tend to drop out of schools and fall prey to teenage pregnancy. With her team, Oliver is trying to provide necessities and educate the teenage pregnant girls and mothers about the fact that their pregnancy is not the end of the world and they should go back to school in order to give their child a better life. 

Luong Thuy Linh Miss World Vietnam 2019

Luong Thuy Ling is representing Vietnam for the title of Miss World 2019 on 14th December 2019 in London. The diva mentions that with the title of Miss World Vietnam 2019 she’d like to create awareness about volunteering and giving back to the society. The Vietnam delegate introduced her “Beauty with a Purpose” project as building roads and connecting dreams with an aim of creating proper roads for the people living in the remote mountainous areas. The diva hopes that with the idea of building roads would help her hometown with better connectivity which would eventually lead to easy access of education, health care and amenities. The diva has been continuously raising funds to help the people of her hometown.

Vy Sreyvin Miss World Cambodia 2019

Sreyvin Vy is representing Cambodia for the title of Miss World 2019 in London. She is a first-year student at Vanda Institute and aspires to be an actress. The most important thing in her life is her family and their smile is her strength that allows her to pursue her goals. If the delegate of Cambodia gets a chance to invite someone to dinner, that would be Cambodia’s first lady, she’d like to discuss politics and give advice.

Mirjana Muratovic Miss World Montenegro 2019

Mirjana Muratovic is representing Montenegro for the title of Miss World 2019 in London. The diva introduces her country with stating it as one of the most beautiful countries to live in. Education plays an integral part in her life and she dedicates her free time in indulging into various activities like playing piano, singing, dancing and acting. Introducing her “Beauty with a Purpose” project, Mirjana explains that it is about children with special needs. With her organization, the delegate of Montenegro is raising funds to provide the children with food, education, clothing and other basic needs. She lives with a motto in her life “never give up”.

Urvashi Devi Gooriah Miss World Mauritius 2019

Urvashi Gooriah is representing the beautiful country of Mauritius for the title of Miss World 2019 in London. She is a part time student and volunteer who aspires to manage her own business. Introducing awareness against Cyber-bullying as her “Beauty with a Purpose” project, Urvashi wants to take a stand against the bullying that everyone faces online at some point of their life. She joined hands with some other cyber-bullying victims to create awareness as they gave speeches in schools, went on air to educate the people about the matter and let their story out in open. Her organization also provided psychological help to the victims. She hopes that people online would be a little sensitive because cyber-bullying can lead to anxiety, depression or even suicide. So, she urges along with her team to be respectful, love and care about each other.
