Miss World 2021 to be held on 16th December 2021 in Puerto Rico

At the official press conference of Miss World held on 10th March 2021, Wednesday at 14:30 GMT, the official confirmation of the details of 70th edition of Miss World was made at a Facebook live. Miss World 2021 will be held on 16th December 2021 in Coca Cola Music Hall, San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Due to the pandemic last year, Miss World organization also cancelled the 2020 edition. Thus, the reigning queen Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica will crown her successor at the 2021 edition.

In an announcement video, the Miss World organization said there will be a special event featuring its past winners and a three-hour telecast of the pageant to commemorate its 70th anniversary. Watch the official announcement here –

 

 

Initially, there were rumors going around about the same as pageant fanatics already guessed the host country. This edition will have more than 100 candidates from different parts of the planet compete for the coveted crown. Puerto Rico will be the first Latin American country to host Miss World.

For Tv and Social media, there will be an opening ceremony where everyone will meet the contestants who will be competing for Miss World 2021 crown. There will also be 20 Challenge Shows and 5 Fast Track Finals. As TV Specials, the organization will show the previous winners from 70 years. Two other shows will be available namely 70 years Miss World - The Highlights Show and Miss World Red Carpet Special.
