The finale of Miss World 2021, the 70th edition of Miss World, will be held on 16th March 2022 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In a recent announcement made by the Miss World organization, Top 40 delegates were selected to enter the final leg of the competition.

In a series of features, here are the forty delegates, in no particular order, (15 from the fast-track competitions and 25 through judges’ choice) who will fly to Puerto Rico for the coronation night. Amira Hidalgo representing Argentina has secured a spot in Top 40 by being one of the judges’ choice winners.

Amira Hidalgo is 25 years of age and stands 170 cm tall. Fluent in English and Spanish, Amira graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications with emphasis on Journalism and currently she is studying a Master in Investigation Journalism. Amira works as a journalist and news producer. She holds the position of TV host for a National News Broadcaster and wishes to become a war correspondent.

Amira considers herself a woman with values, solidarity and transparency who loves to learn from people who leave a positive legacy in their lives. The Argentinian beauty was involved with Ninawa Daher Foundation, a nationwide foundation that carries out solidarity projects. Her social project provides tools to generate autonomy and greater accessibility in people with visual impairment.

If she wins Miss World 2021, she will be the third Miss World from Argentina following Norma Cappagli and Silvana Suarez, who were crowned in 1960 and 1978, respectively. Amira is a strong woman who holds her values and morals close to her. She will definitely be a strong contender for the international crown.
