Miss World 2021, 70th edition of Miss World, will be held on 16th March 2022 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In a recent announcement made by the organization, Top 40 delegates were selected to enter the final leg of the competition.

In a series of features, here are the forty delegates, in no particular order, (15 from the fast-track competitions and 25 through judges’ choice) who will fly to Puerto Rico for the coronation night.

From Jiquilpan, Karolina Vidales lives in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The stunning Mexican beauty won the spot in Top 40 by winning the Sports fast track competition. A multilingual, Karolina is fluent in Spanish, English, French and German.

In 2019, Vidales graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Universidad de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico. After that, she started working as a marketing communication manager of AVF Artesanos in Quintana Roo, Mexico. For a short while, she was a financial and mercadological analyst at Benito Santos Fashion Group in Guadalajara.

Karolina was crowned Miss Michoacán 2019 in October 2019. Unfortunately, on December 14, 2019, she was on a tourist passenger bus that collided with an avocado torton truck at the Maravatío-Zapotlanejo highway in Michoacán. She was injured but she survived the accident. With her never giving up attitude, Karolina continued on her journey and won the crown of Miss Mexico 2021 through which she earned the right to represent Mexico at Miss World 2021.

Karolina is also the founder of ‘Cultivando Una Esperanza’, a social initiative promoting vulnerable children in the state of Michoacán, laying the foundations for their development through health and education. She is the epitome of a beauty with a cause who is tirelessly working towards the upliftment of children in her country. If Karolina wins Miss World crown, she will become the second Miss World titleholder from her country after Vanessa de Ponce who won Miss World in 2018.
