In a recent announcement made by the Miss World organization, Top 40 delegates were selected to enter the final leg of the competition. Miss World 2021, 70th edition of Miss World, will be held on 16th March 2022 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

In a series of features, here are the forty delegates, in no particular order, (15 from the fast-track competitions and 25 through judges’ choice) who will fly to Puerto Rico for the coronation night.

Rehema Muthamia representing England made it to Top 40 by winning the Beauty with a Purpose round. Rehema was crowned Miss England 2021 at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre in August last year. The stunning beauty is 25 years of age and is a Genetics Graduate from the University of Sussex.

A multilingual beauty, Rehema speaks four languages fluently. For her beauty with a purpose project, Rehema raised money for Women’s Aid and she hopes to use her platform to help other female victims. Rehema did a 300ft bungee jump and a 10,000ft skydive, which raised over £1,200 for the cause. The beauty queen is a domestic abuse victim herself.

Rehema has fought many battles on her own as she received racist comments online after being crowned Miss England 2021. Rehema was born in the UK and is of Kenyan heritage. “People were calling about me having won, telling the Miss England platform, they weren't happy that I was a Black woman. I'm ethnically Black, but I am British. And I'm so proud to be British”, she spoke.

Not new to the pageantry, Rehema had also won the first ever Miss All African Colours before her stint at Miss England 2021. With her experience, her charismatic personality and her stunning beauty, Rehema will surely be a strong contender for the international crown. England is yet to pioneer its win at Miss World.
