At the conclusion of the finale of Miss World Ecuador 2017, held on 22nd July 2017 in Juan Montalvo Park, Manchala, 25 year old Romina Zeballos Avellan was crowned as the winner. Hailing from Guayas, Romina succeeds Miss World Ecuador 2016 Mirka Paola Cabrera Mazzini, and will now represent Ecuador at Miss World 2017 pageant.
Romina defeated 14 other contestants to clinch the coveted title. At the same pageant, Nicolette Coric from Pastaza was titled first runner-up, and Alexandra Zambrano from Esmeraldas was placed as second runner-up.
