All about Miss World France 2022 Clémence Botino

Clémence Botino was announced as the official titleholder of Miss World France 2022 on Tuesday, 11th October 2022 as she became the representative of France at the 71st edition of Miss World. Clémence Botino now succeeds Miss World France 2021 April Benayoum for the title.

On representing France at Miss World 2023, Botino took to her official social media as she wrote, "It is with joy and a bit of emotion that I share with you my official portrait for the Miss World contest! My heart is beating posting this picture because after more than a year of waiting, all this is becoming concrete and speeding up! It is with passion and determination that I will represent my country, my region, you at this great timeless contest."

 

 

"The adventure begins, but it feels like I’ve been preparing for it for a lot longer. I will carry these last 4 years with me! I belong to a magical world that has pushed me to be myself and to surpass myself. I had life changing encounters and I cherish all the memories I was able to make. All this experience will make me hope to do even better. 4 years after becoming Miss France, it is a real honnor to be Back on stage! See you soon", she added. 

Background

Clémence Botino hails from Guadeloupe and is 25 years of age. She is a French historian and a model by profession. She was born in Baie-Mahault, Guadeloupe, France to an Afro-Caribbean and European father and an Indo-Caribbean mother. She was raised in Le Gosier, Guadeloupe. Botino is fluent in French and English.

Education

In 2014, she obtained a scientific baccalauréat, a national academic qualification in France that students can obtain at the completion of their secondary education. In the same year, she studied in an international school in Miami, Florida, United States.

 

 

Until 2018, she took preparatory literary courses at the Lycée Gerville-Réache in Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe. In 2018, she enrolled in Sorbonne University in Paris, France where she pursued a master’s degree in art history.

Pageantry

In 2019, she was crowned Miss Guadeloupe 2019. In December that year, she was crowned Miss France 2020 at the Le Dôme de Marseille in Marseille, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France. In 2021, Botino she arrived in Israel and tested positive for the new coronavirus (COVID-19). She received clearance to leave her hotel room in Jerusalem, Israel, where she quarantined for 10 days. On 12th December 2021, she represented France at Miss Universe 2021 and competed against 79 other candidates in Eilat, Israel. She finished in the Top 10.

 

 

Advocacy

Clemence Botino is a member of the French association Les Bonnes fées, which helps women who suffer from precariousness and disease. Clemence believes that school and education are the main keys to success.

Miss World 2023

Miss World 2023 will be the 71st edition of Miss World which will be held in New Delhi, India on 2nd March 2024 where Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
