Clémence Botino, who was crowned Miss France 2020, has been announced to represent France at the 71st edition of Miss World. The announcement was made on Tuesday, 11th October 2022. Clémence Botino now succeeds Miss World France 2021 April Benayoum.

Clémence Botino hails from Guadeloupe and is 25 years of age. Prior to winning Miss France 2020, the island beauty was crowned Miss Guadeloupe 2019. Botino then went on to represent France at Miss Universe 2021 in Israel last December and managed to place in the Top 10 with her stellar performance.

Clemence believes that school and education are the main keys to success. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in art history at Sorbonne University in Paris. On winning the chance to represent France at Miss World, Botino took to her official social media as she wrote, “Another one. Happy to be back on stage! Don’t ever Forget to be yourself, to live on your own, and to embrace all chances and opportunities that come. Merci pour votre amour.”

Botino is the third Miss Guadeloupe to represent France at the Miss World pageant next to Véronique de la Cruz in 1993 and Ophély Mézino in 2019. At Miss World 2021, April Benayoum represented France at the international pageant and placed in the Top 13.
