The magnificent finale of Miss Indonesia 2017, held on 22nd April 2017, concluded with the crowning of Achintya Holte Nilsen as the winner. Achintya Holte Nilsen succeeds Miss Indonesia 2016 Natasha Mannuela, and will now represent Indonesia at the Miss World 2017 finals to be held in December in China.
19 year old Achintya was born in Bali and is half Indonesian and half Norwegian. The beauty has mastered the English language, has the skills to write poetry and dance. This gorgeous Miss Indonesia 2017 is also amazing in sports such as volleyball and basketball. She was a finalist of Cover Girl 2013, and has also won Senior Girl Soccer 1st place 2015 and Senior Girl Volleyball 1st place 2014.
At the same pageant Astrini Putri was titled as the first runner-up, Ivhanrel Eltrisna Sumerah was adjudged the second runner-up, Dinda Ayu Saraswati was announced as the third runner-up and Anja Litani Ariella finished as fourth runner-up.
The finale of Miss Indonesia 2017 started with the introduction of the 34 contestants and the judges. There were also few musical performances by renowned artists to jazz up the event a bit. After a musical session, it was time for the contestants to flaunt their regional traditional costumes in front of the judges, with a performance. The performance was an eye pleasing moment. The Top 15 finalists then competed through the Q&A round, put forward by the judges. Each contestant had to answer one question with grace, poise, wit, and intelligence. The Top 5 finalists took a final walk in front of the judges and went through the common Q&A round, where each contestant had 30 seconds to answer the question.
