In a video that our Miss World Mexico 2017 posted on her official Instagram, Andrea Meza shared a few fashion tips which kept her fashionable and on-point throughout the competition. Our first runner-up wrote an insightful caption where she pointed out how it is very important to wear the right outfit for every occasion in a beauty pageant.
Andrea listed 5 points that she thought were valuable to keep in mind while participating in a pageant. She began by pointing out how it is essential to plan everything out before the event – from accessories to footwear to clothing, which saves plenty of time.
Her second pointer was to always support national coordination and communicate with the team. She highlighted how it is essential to always keep the teammates informed of the activities that would be the next day in order to plan the best possible.
En un concurso de belleza siempre es importante usar el outfit adecuado para cada ocasión e ir preparada para llevar a cabo cada uno de la manera más rápida debido al corto tiempo que normalmente tienes para arreglarte. Les compartiré que es lo que yo hacía para lucir de la mejor manera siempre, adecuado para cada situación. 1. Tener planeado ANTES de irme a la concentración cada uno de los outfits de pies a cabeza: peinado, ropa, accesorios, zapatos, bolso... todo! Eso te ahorra muchísimo tiempo ya que no tienes que decidir las combinaciones. Mejor si pueden crear un look book que puedas tener en tu teléfono. 2. Siempre me apoyaba en mi coordinación nacional. Buscaba poder comunicarme con mi equipo la mayoría del tiempo, a pesar de la diferencia de horarios y la falta de red en algunas ocasiones, siempre manteniéndolos informados de las actividades que habría al día siguiente para poder planear todo lo mejor posible. 3. Ya que no siempre era posible planear algunos de los atuendos porque salían eventos de imprevisto o no tenía manera de comunicarme, hay momentos en los que hay que usar el propio criterio y arriesgarte un poco. Siempre escuchar con atención las indicaciones y tratar de saber siempre a qué vas, las actividades que se realizarán y el lugar. 4. Sigue las instrucciones. Hay que tener claro el enfoque del concurso al que vamos y hacer lo que se nos pide. Muchas veces nos pedían ropa deportiva para ensayos y uno pensaría que en un concurso no te pueden ver en "fachas" pero la verdad es que a ellos les gusta ver mujeres disciplinadas que saben seguir instrucciones. 5. Empacar estratégicamente. Piensa en lo que más te funcionaría a ti, algunas chicas llevan los outfits armados en bolsas y etiquetados (atuendo casual, deportivo, formal,etc). A mi me funcionaba llevar en una maleta la ropa casual, en otra vestidos de coctel, en otra zapatos, etc. Se que muchas personas tienen curiosidad de saber un poco de lo que hay detrás, es por eso que les comparto un poco de mi experiencia. ¿Se me olvidó algo o ustedes tienen otras "técnicas"? Andrea went on to describe how it was not always possible to plan some of the outfits because of unforeseen events while she was running for Miss World 2017. However, she alluded that there are times when one has to have his/her own criteria and take a risk. She also mentioned the importance of listening carefully to the directions and always knowing the details of event place and manage accordingly.
At last, Andrea pointed out the importance of strategic packing for any event. She shared this valuable knowledge with her followers, as is her routine, on Instagram. There is no doubt that Andrea was one of the strongest competitors in last year’s Miss World pageant, thereby winning the first runner-up title. This beauty from Mexico never fails to amaze us with her talent and knowledge when it comes to fashion.
