Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez took to her official social media that she has given birth to her first child with partner Niño Barbers on Sunday. The model-beauty queen shared a photo of her newborn who she has named Robert Joaquin Rodriguez Barbers. He was born on August 25, 2021.
Katarina also opened up about her water birth journey in a six-minute vlog and series of Instagram posts. She wrote, “You’ll be in my heart, from this day on, now and forevermore. And finally, at 4:02 am, after three and a half intense hours and one big push, my boy came swimming into our world.”
Katarina’s pageant journey has been incredible as she was crowned Miss World Philippines in 2018. She officially bid farewell to pageants after failing to secure a spot in the Top 30 at Miss World. She was crowned Miss Intercontinental Philippines in the 54th edition of Binibining Pilipinas and went on to represent the country in the international pageant, where she finished as first runner-up.
Fellow beauty queens and celebrities like Kylie Verzosa, Kelley Day, Maxine Medina, Maureen Wroblewitz, and Hannah Arnold have congratulated the couple.
