Miss World Philippines 2019 witnessed an influx of the most talented and beautiful divas from all over the country this year as Filipina beauties decided to vie for one of the most coveted crowns in the world. Amongst the batch of dedicated and sincere beauties that were selected as the Top 40, Ilene Astrid de Vera made it to the Top as well and is now competing for the national crown. The 22-year-old beauty who stands 172 cm tall belongs to Cebu Islands, Philippines.
A pageant veteran, Astrid has time and again proven that she is a pro in the pageant world. Her journey was highlighted as she won the Mutya ng Philipinas 2017 pageant winning the Miss Asia Pacific Philippines 2017 crown. She then went on to participate in Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 and winning the fourth runner-up position. She later participated in Binibining Pilipinas 2019 this year but unfortunately could not win a placement.
Trying her luck for the second time this year, Ilene is definitely a beauty with brains combination. Her character trait is not only her idiosyncrasy but also her strength to perform with sincerity and dedication at the national contest this time. Working towards women empowerment for the Filipina women ever since she began her journey in Binibining Pilipinas 2019, Ilene has prove she is every bit worthy of the Miss World Philippines 2019 crown.
