The journey to the crowning of Miss World Philippines 2021 has begun as the organization has announced the names of 45 equally stunning and talented divas. The organization of Miss World Philippines will soon host the coronation for Miss World Philippines 2021 where these divas will compete for the national crown and an opportunity to represent the Philippines at an international competition.

The batch of stunning beauties will be competing for eight titles, including Miss World Philippines 2021, Miss Supranational Philippines 2021, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2021, Miss Eco International Philippines 2021, Miss Multinational Philippines 2021, Miss Eco Teen International Philippines 2021, Miss Tourism Philippines 2021, and Miss Environment International Philippines 2021.

One of the strongest woman standing out from the batch is Ann Roxal Palmares, the representative of Passi City. The 21 years old Ann has been given the title of the Goddess of Mount Madia-as and is an Accounting Technology student. Ann has been a veteran in pageantries and believes that, “Beauty exudes from a woman whose core is founded on love and care for herself, her loved ones, and the rest of the world.”

Ann has been facing some inappropriate slurs ever since her announcement as the official delegate surfaced including accusations of being transgender. Ann recently took to her social media to reply to these comments as she said, “I’ve heard others accuse me of being trans. I’d like to express my thanks to these people.”

“No I’m not insulted. I’m not insulted because I know these people have struggled and conquered various challenged thrown their way because of who they are,” she added as she equates the transgender community with the attributes of strength, resilience and courage.

Humbled by the association she also shared a message for the community as she wrote, “To the transgender community, padayon lang (just keep going)! You are amazing and beautiful. You’ve added beauty to the spectrum! Raise that flag!”

Ann’s intensions and advocacies have been very clear as she intends to take on the journey as a woman of the World for women empowerment. With her response to the situation, Ann has indeed proven that she is a queen of poise and knows how to tackle hate with respect. She is definitely one of the strongest contenders and a potential winner for the title.

The winners at the pageant will succeed Miss World Philippines 2019 Michelle Marquez Dee, Miss Eco Philippines 2019 Kelley Day, Miss Multinational Philippines 2019 Isabelle de Leon, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2019 Maria Katrina Llegado, Miss Philippines Tourism 2019 Glyssa Leiann Perez, and Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2020 Roberta Angela Tamondong for the title.
