The Miss World Philippines organization pulled through the coronation for Miss World Philippines 2021, after five postponements, on 3rd October 2021 at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center, Hall A, where Tracy Maureen Perez of Cebu was crowned as the new queen. Apart from the title winner, Trisha Martinez of Laguna was also crowned as Miss Tourism Philippines 2021 as she succeeded Miss Tourism Philippines 2020 Kathie Lee Berco for the title.

Hailing from Pila, Laguna, Trisha Martinez is a 23 year- old Doctor of Dental Medicine student at the College of Dentistry of the University of the East in Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines. She was Miss University of the East 2018. In the question-and-answer portion, Atayde asked Martinez, “What advice or message can you give the new generation of voters?”, to which she answered, “In this time of crisis, my advice to people is that to keep on going on,” Martinez answered. “We all have dreams and at this time, we might feel that our dreams are on hold but they’re not gone. With grit and determination, those dreams will become a reality. Just hold on.”

After being crowned as the new sovereign of Philippines, Trisha shared how she had no exact words to express how she has been feeling. The diva also took the opportunity to answer again the question that was given to her during the finale as she wasn’t able to clearly hear the last word ‘voters’.

The message or advice she shared to the new generation of voters was, “In year 2019, more than half of the registered voters in the country belong to the two youngest generations which are millennials and gen z. I think this is a huge portion to know and realize that we have the power in our hands to choose the best leader that would listen to its people and a leader that would create a humane and fair society. We all want a better country so let us use our suffrage because for when we do not vote, the best leader would not win.”

She further added, “If only I have heard that magic word, I would've answered it this way. But after all, what happened was meant to happen and I believe that it was already written by the stars. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the people who have been there with me since the very start and who helped me along the journey. I wouldn't be in this position if it wasn't for these people, to ALL the people who believed in me and supported me, you know who you are, THANK YOU SO MUCH!”

According to Miss World Philippines national director Arnold Vegafria, Martinez will represent the Philippines at Miss Tourism Universe 2021 in Lebanon, the dates for which are yet to be announced.

Congratulations queen!
