Yasmina Zaytoun, becoming a glimmer of hope in troubled Lebanon, won the runner-up crown at the 71st Miss World this weekend. Creating history by winning the highest ever placement for her country at the esteemed platform, Yasmina won the Miss World Asia continental title as well for Lebanon.
Enthralling everyone with her beauty and grace, Yasmina was a force to be reckoned with since the beginning of the competition. Born and raised in Tyre, Lebanon, she is currently in the third year at Notre Dame University-Louaize in Zouk Mosbeh to pursue a bachelor's degree in Journalism. She learnt the value of raising one’s voice and advocate for what’s important through her studies and also hosts her own show ‘With Yasmina Show’ on Instagram.
At the pre-pageant activities of 71st Miss World, Yasmina placed as one of the five winners of the Head-to-Head challenge winning a direct spot in the Top 40 where she spoke about advocating for greater access to education and health services for young women in Lebanon. At the finals as well, Yasmina was the picture of beauty and grace who impressed everyone with her substantial answers as she advocated for her humanitarian cause.
Yasmina Zaytoun serves as the ambassador of Lebanese Food Bank and the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon. For a social cause, Yasmina also launched ‘Queens without filter’ campaign, to foster confidence in young individuals and let them be proud of their uniqueness.
However, Yasmina’s journey did not begin at Miss World this year. The stunning Lebanese beauty also represented Lebanon at the 71st Miss Universe held in New Orleans, USA in January 2023. Although she did not place in the Top 16 at the end of the event finale, Yasmina left a lasting impact in the pageantry with her incredulous performance.
With her journey at both the esteemed pageants bringing her to a point of creating history for Lebanon, Yasmina Zaytoun has really made her mark in the pageantry with her beauty, charm and the drive to bring a positive change in the world with her remarkable efforts.
