The magnificent Miss World Spain 2017 (Miss Mundo España 2017) gala held last night concluded with the crowning of the successor to Raquel Tejedor Meléndez, Miss World Spain 2016. And the new Miss World Spain is the gorgeous Maria Elisabeth Tulián Marín (aka María Elisa Tulián, Elisa Tulián or Eli Tulián) from Illes Balears. She defeated more than 50 other contestants competing for the crown.
Elisa is 21 years of age and is a graduate in musical theatre and dramatic arts. She will now represent Spain in the Miss World 2017 pageant to be held in Sanya, China later this year. She also won the Miss Sports award.
Her court included the first runner-up Katixa Elizegui from Cantabria and the second runner-up Mercedes Riviera from Valencia. Asunción Martín Bullón from Cádiz and Gara Aguiar Wilhelmsson from Tenerife completed the Top 5. Gara also won the Top Model award.
Carla Olivares from Barcelona, Raquel Iboleón from Canarias, Marina Ruiz from Jaén, Nereida Ramírez from Las Palmas and Jennifer Medalle from Málaga also made it to the Top 10 finalists. Nereida Ramírez also won Best in Swimsuit Award, besides a placement in Top 10.
Top 20 semi-finalists also included María Sánchez López (Albacete), María González Sánchez (Almería), Ane Nebreda (Araba), Alba Díez (Bizkaia), Nidia Cerrillo Peláez (Guadalajara), Sara Huelva (Huelva), Paula Delgado (Madrid), Sheyla Gutiérrez (Melilla), Paula Riba (Palencia), and María Barcia (Sevilla). Ane Nebrada won the Beauty with a Purpose award, Sheyla Gutiérrez won the Miss Multimedia award, Paula Delgado won the Miss Talent award and Sara Huelva won the Best Regional Costume award, besides being placed amongst the Top 20 semi-finalists.
Spain has once again managed to select a stunner for Miss World beauty pageant. Can she follow the foot-steps of Mireia Lalaguna, Miss World Spain 2015 who went on win the title of Miss World 2015?
