Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2020 finale details announced

03 Mar 2020 | Priya Bhardwaj

With a few changes this year, Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2020 will host its finale on 8th March 2020 at the Cascadia Hotel and Conference centre, St. Anns, Port of Spain as the new representative to represent Trinidad and Tobago will be crowned. Tya Jané Ramey Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2019 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

With the theme of ‘Beauty and Beyond’, the organization will crown the new queen on women’s day celebrating the special day with women all over the country. Since numerous girls miss out on a chance to be on the show, the organization has decided to do things a little differently this year. With the screening and coronation on the same day, it will be an increased chance for the girls who wish to participate in the pageant.

This year, the screening will begin on 8th March 2020 from 7 am and will go on till 12 pm as the potential delegates will begin their journey. After the screening, finalists will be selected by an accomplished panel of jury and they will move on to perform at the finale which will begin at 7 pm.

The organization took to their social media to explain their decision as they wrote, “This year we are giving all of them a chance on the same day, to be interviewed by the judges and also take part in the finals later on the evening. So many girls never get the chance to be in the show. This year, they will all get a chance to shine and the opportunity to walk the run way. Then we begin the top based on overall performance.”

Trinidad and Tobago holds one Miss World crown under its belt when Giselle Laronde was crowned in 1986. Last year, Tya Jané Ramey Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2019 represented her country at Miss World 2019 and with her stunning performance, she placed in the Top 40.
