Miss California USA 2015, Natasha Martinez, 23, was crowned in the Terrace Theater at the Long Beach Convention Center. She won the crown and the title competing through the evening gown, swimsuit and interview round among amazingly talented group of 120 contestants. Martinez, model for Univision and Princess Jasmin at Disneyland, is a graduate of Chapman University in broadcast journalism. She considers interview as one of the most important aspects of pageantry. She finished her internship with ABC’s “On The Red Carpet” and is the host of KDOC’s “What a City Eats.” (US Show)
Natasha is not new to the glamour of pageantry, nor was this her first try at the Miss USA. Natasha holds the title of Miss Malibu and Miss Greater Hollywood. Also last year, she was the first runner-up at the Miss USA 2014 and the year before she made her way to the Top 20. “I started competing in pageants when I was 17 years old. I did it just for fun. I grew up dancing, so any performance type of activity, I was always open to trying. Once I won my first pageant, I kind of got the pageant bug, if you will. I decided to compete in Miss California for the first time in 2011. Ever since then I felt like, “Wow, I can really do this.” I would just keep trying and trying. This was my fourth time competing, and gladly enough, I won!”, says Natasha.

Natasha loves dancing and is a former NBA dancer. She has represented Los Angeles previously as a dancer. Her career ambition is to become a news anchor and entertainment host. Sharing her decision of choosing the career in media Natasha says, “When I participated in my first pageant – it was called Miss Panamerican International – a host from MTV Tres came to interview us and did a whole segment. She was so bright, bubbly and happy. I immediately looked up to her because I used to be kind of shy growing up. I took a look at what she was doing and thought that it’d be something I’d like to do.”
Also from Southern California, the current Miss USA Nia Snachez competed alongside Martinez at the Miss California USA and took home the crown that led her to a national victory. Will Natasha be the next Californian to win the envious title of Miss USA 2015?
