The 56th edition of Miss International Pageant is slated to be held on 27th October 2016 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The finale will conclude with Edymar Martinez of Venezuela crowning her successor. On 11th October 2016, the contestants attended the gala reception of Miss International 2016. It was a regal affair filled with lavish delicacies, unimaginable extravagance, and the best of everything.

After receiving a grand welcome party, the girls exhibited their regal culture by donning beautiful National Costumes during the National Costume Competition. The contestants showed off the best of their culture and history in the form of National Costumes. The divas from the Asian countries ruled the National Costume round.

Kylie Verzosa from Philippines won hearts as she flaunted her intricately designed modern Terno. As expected, the Pinoy beauty is representing the country in style. Similarly, India’s Rewati Chetri displayed the Indian culture in a simple yet elegant looking costume that gorgeously flaunted the culture and rich history of India.

Malaysia beauty Olivia Nicholas threw a queenly aura as she donned her tradition in style during the National Costume round. The fabric, the colour combination and the added prop to compliment her costume exuded a rich and royal aura. Lastly, the Vietnamese doll Pham Ngoc Phuong Linh wore a long dress with detailed floral hand-made pattern on the bottom of the gown. She teamed it with a sea green stole with floral work. The intricate work stood out in the crowd with grace.

This year, the Miss International pageant aims to promote several of Japan’s less visited places with the use of technology and social media influences.
