Nia Sanchez, Miss Universe USA 2014, born on February 15, 1990, is an American beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss USA 2014. Sanchez became the first contestant from Nevada to be crowned Miss USA. 24 years old Nia was born and raised in Sacramento until age 7. From there, her flight of journeys took off, as she moved between California and Washington. After completing her high school, Nia moved to Europe to become a nanny. Her love for travelling was so inevitable that she soon moved to the Middle East, Austria and Switzerland.

Standing tall at a height of 5’8”, Nia dons a great body, complementing with a vivacious smile. Nia Sanchez’s interest for pageantry developed, when in 2009 she saw a close friend take the title of Miss USA. Nia’s Pageantry journey started when she was 13. At the age of 13, she entered the Miss San Jacinto Valley. She won Miss Citrus Valley USA at the age of 19, which qualified her to take part in the Miss América Latina competition in Ecuador.

For the past 7 years, Nia has worked as a full time model and was chosen out of thousands of aspirants to be a face character for Hong Kong Disney. After pursuing what she loves the most (Travelling), Nia made the sin city of Las Vegas her home.

Nia’s love for travel has made her travel to over 15 countries, and the list doesn’t stop here, as she plans to go more. She is a 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and also a certified instructor, which certifies that she has the potential to kick her way through, to win the title.

Nia Sanchez feels richly blessed with her traditions, and holds immense pride in talking about her cultural heritage.

She says, “America is a melting pot, with so much diversity and culture! I, myself, have both Mexican and German heritage, and feel so lucky to be able to share that with others as Miss USA. As Americans, we have a variety of cultures; that makes life so rich here.
