Nicole Vella was crowned Miss World Malta 2019 at the grand coronation night held on 7th June 2019 at Pjazza Teatru Rjal and will now represent Malta in Miss World 2019. She was crowned by the outgoing queen Maria Ellul Miss World Malta 2018.Nicole competed with 26 beautiful ladies and emerged as a winner of Miss World Malta 2019.
The 19 –year-old beauty hails from Rabat and is the daughter of singer Debbie Scerri who represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997, in Dublin. Nicole is passionate for Ballet dancing and is a professional Ballet Dancer at YADA DANCE Company. She is a former International Relations Officer at Betapsi Malta and is currently pursuing Bachelors in Psychology at University of Malta.

At the Grand coronation night, Natalya won Miss Personality Award and Lara Maria Camilleri won Beauty With a Purpose Award for her great efforts raising over € 4,000 for social work.
Second runner-up, Lara Maria Camilleri expressed her feeling in a post captioned, “What an incredible journey that lead to the Miss World Malta 2019 2nd Runner Up title! I would like to thank all my family and friends who continuously supported my journey. I would also like to thank my sponsors Fitness Loft - Personal Training by David and Mel and Lourdes - San Gwann for placing their trust in me. Lastly, I would like to thank Sue Rossi and Claudia Calleja for the opportunity as well as congratulate all the other contestants, especially Nicole Vella for her win and Natalya Galdes for placing 2nd!”
Last year, Maria Ellul Miss World Malta 2018 was unable to secure a spot in the top 30 of Miss World 2018. Malta is yet to pioneer its win in Miss World beauty pageant.
