Pia Wurtzbach Confesses About Her Broken Heart

Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, who completed her nation, Philippines’s 42 years old dream of bringing back the Miss Universe crown home, confessed that she was terribly broken hearted before she competed in the most prestigious beauty pageant of the world, Miss Universe 2015.

In an interview, Wurtzbach grew quite emotional as she revealed: “I didn’t have a boyfriend before the competition, although I thought I was seeing somebody but I wasn’t.”

The beauty queen further added: “See, despite of being a Miss Universe you can be hurt. I want to focus on the organization. But when I fall in love, I tend to give everything.”

Months before she competed in Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2015, Pia Wurtzbach was romantically linked to the President Benigno Aquino III. Nonetheless, Wurtzbach kept denying about the rumors of her relationship with the President usually stating that she and Aquino were just friends.

TV host-actress Kris Aquino, sister of President Aquino, once said that she admired Pia Wurtzbach immensely. However, Kris Aquino also expressed that she thought the beauty queen does not like her brother.

Prior to her departure for Miss Universe pageant, Pia Wurtzbach revealed the local media that the President had sent her flowers for good luck in the Miss Universe 2015 pageant.

When inquired by the press about her current relationship status, the “Confidently Beautiful With A Heart” kissed her crown and said: “This is my boyfriend.” Wurtzbach beamingly gazed at her $300,000 Miss Universe crown.

When asked of her romantic relationships and the kind of man she would like to have in her life, Pia Wurtzbach said: “I haven’t thought about it.” The beauty queen added, “My story has become a story of determination, discipline, faith and hard work. Even after the Miss Universe, I hope people learn these lessons from me. You’ll never know, it could happen to you.”
