Pia Wurtzbach also admires the first Miss World from Philippines, Megan Young. Pia believed that Megan’s luck in Miss World had composed positive vibes from her TV appearances as special guest at ‘The Ryza Mae Show’ to ‘Tonight with Boy Abunda’ to ‘Gandang Gabi Vice’. Pia made sure she would also guest in these television shows. When she graced the Vice Ganda’s show, she was very voiced to confess that she did wish and even requested for this appearance. In Tonight with Boy Abunda, Pia said that Boy would always tell her to be outspoken and natural in interviews and never give rehearsed answers.

Later, Miriam Quiambao, who is one of the most cherished and esteemed figure in the Philippines as she won the first runner up spot at Miss Universe 1999, also met Pia Wurtzbach in an event and the occasion certainly added to her lucky charm, making her the third Filipino Miss Universe, despite of mistakenly being announced as the first runner up formerly.
