Puteri Indonesia 2020, the 24th edition of Puteri Indonesia, is all set to host its coronation night on 6th March 2020 at Jakarta Convention Centre in Jakarta, Indonesia where the representatives to Miss Universe 2020, Miss International 2020 and Miss Supranational 2020 will be crowned. Frederika Alexis Cull Puteri Indonesia 2019 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. Along with her, Jolene Marie Rotinsulu Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2019 and Jesica Fitriana Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2019 will also crown their successors.
Since the pageant has officially begun, the organization along with Mustika Ratu teamed up with Kadin Indonesian Culture-Based Industrial Field and held its official Cultural Based Fashion Show on 29th February 2020 in the Gandaria City Mall, Jakarta. The 39 finalists participated in the fashion show by adorning jumpsuits and evening gowns by local designers from every area.
The gorgeous divas walked on stage while introducing the latest Logo Beauty Queen Series and a new campaign from Mustika Ratu; #MRLoveyourself. The show was graced by the reigning queens; Puteri Indonesia 2019 Fredika Alexis Cull, Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2019 Jolene Marie Rotinsulu and Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2019 Jesica Fitriana.
The finalists then graced the stage in their beautiful and stunning evening gown where Jihane Almira Chedid from Central Java was adjudged as the winner of the Best Evening Gown competition. Louise Kalist Iskandar of West Sumatra and Rr Ayu Maulida of East Java were adjudged as the first and second runner-up.
The finalists also presented their respective National Costumes. The Indonesian foundation hopes that this activity can foster a sense of love for domestic products and encourage creativity to strengthen national diversity. Three finalists including Raden Roro Ayu Maulida Putri from East Java, Angel Virginia Boelan from East Nusa Tenggara and Veronika Tri Mardani from Jambi were adjudged as the finalists for the award.
After demonstrating the regional fashion, the finalists showed their talents as a form of promotion of the art and culture of their respective regions. Some of the talents displayed are singing, dancing, storytelling, playing the violin, playing keyboard, acting, musical poetry, and much more. The talent show event was in addition to instilling the love of Indonesian youth towards the nation's culture and to preserve the noble values of art and culture inherited from ancestors. Three finalists including Belinda Pritasari from Bengkulu, Jihane Almira Chedid from Central Java and Jeanatasia Kurnia Sari Soebagio from West Java were adjudged as the finalist for the award.
The results of the Best in National Costume and Talent will be announced during the grand finale of Puteri Indonesia 2020, which will be held on 6th March 2020 at Jakarta.
Puteri Indonesia Banten 2019 Anastasia Praditha and Puteri Indonesia West Kalimantan 2019 Karina Syahna hosted the special night. The jury for the show included Principal Advisor of the Indonesian Women's Foundation (YPI) Putri Kus Wisnu, Chairperson of the Organization Division Kusumadewi Sutanto, YPI Senior Corporate Communication Mega Angkasa, Garuda Indonesia President Commissioner Triawan Munaf, and Chairperson of the Indonesian Girls Election 2020 Kusuma Ida Anjani.
