Puteri Indonesia 2021 now to be held in November

The organization of Puteri Indonesia had announced initially that Puteri Indonesia Foundation and PT Mustika Ratu Tbk will hold the coronation for Puteri Indonesia 2021 in September this year. In a recent announcement by Indra Yudhistira, the national director of Puteri Indonesia revealed that the organization has finally decided to postpone Puteri Indonesia from September to November 2021.

The decision has been implemented due to the rising of covid cases in Indonesia recently. If the Miss Universe 2021 will be held in December and the Puteri Indonesia election will be held in November, the delegate will be left with just one month for preparations.

With the lack of time for preparations, the organization is left with a few choices in order to move ahead, foremost being absent from this year’s edition of Miss Universe. Since Indonesia has been one of the major contributors in being an Asian powerhouse at the pageant, absence shouldn’t be considered, rather the team can handpick a delegate or a former runner-up queen to represent Indonesia at Miss Universe 2021. For the time being, the organization is only concentrated towards the implementation of Puteri Indonesia 2021.

Delegates from all over the country will compete for the national crown and a chance to represent Indonesia at the upcoming editions of Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Supranational. The reigning Miss Universe Indonesia 2020 Ayu Maulida was one of the biggest show stoppers of the previous edition and was highly appreciated throughout the pageant.

Ayu is one of the delegates who had impressed audience with her sincerity, dedication, and determination towards winning the title. She was extremely outstanding at the competition finishing among the Top 21 finalists and making her country proud.

Pageant fanatics eagerly await for the next Indonesian queen and have already started to form wish lists and favorites for the upcoming event.
