Puteri Indonesia 2022, the 25th edition of the national pageant, is all set to be held in March 2022 as the winner will represent Indonesia at Miss Universe 2022. The pageant will also crown the representatives to the upcoming editions of Miss Supranational and Miss International.

Till now nine delegates have been crowned as regional representatives, while others are still competing to secure a spot at the national pageant. Apart from the provincial crowning, the organization also organized the central casting yesterday, where beauties who aspire to win the national title were auditioned and interviewed.

One diva who has been emerging as a favourite for the title and was outstanding during the auditions is Jessica Katharina. 25 years-old Jessica has shown her intention to advance in the competition with a dazzling appearance. The diva stands 179 cm, is a TV host, professional hiker and an actress.

Jessica Katharina was born in Semarang to a Javanese mother and a Dutch father, raised in Bali and has a career in the city of Jakarta. She is professional hikers since 2014, and now she is running 7 summit progam, the program to climb 7 mountains on 7 islands in Indonesia. She is also chosen as the Brand ambassador for Eiger Indonesia.

As an Indonesian woman, Jessica wants to convey a message to all women in Indonesia to become a woman who tough, always spread kindness, and love nature through the program ‘A Life Journey’ because Jessica believes to "never be afraid if your heart is good, life will open the door, welcome you in. As wide as possible. As good as possible.”

If she qualifies for the next stage in the competition, she will definitely emerge as a strong contender for the title and an ideal choice to represent Indonesia at the international platforms. Last year, Indonesia withdrew its participation from Miss Universe 2021. Thus, the country will participate at Miss Universe 2022 after a gap of 1 year. At Miss Universe 2020, Ayu Maulida represented Indonesia and placed in Top 21. Indonesia is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Universe.
