Puteri Indonesia 2022, the 25th edition of the national pageant, is all set to be held in March 2022 as the winner will represent Indonesia at Miss Universe 2022. The pageant will also crown the representatives to the upcoming editions of Miss Supranational and Miss International.

Till now eight delegates have been crowned as regional representatives, while others are still competing to secure a spot at the national pageant. Melania Berentz who is a finalist for the regional pageant of Puteri Indonesia Jawa Barat 2022 has been emerging as a potential delegate to represent the country at the Miss Universe stage for few years now.

Born in Singapore, with a German-Indonesian heritage, Melanie is 22 years old and is known as one of Indonesia's young rising artists.
