The Puteri Indonesia organization held the grand finale for Special Region of Yogyakarta at 7 pm on Tuesday, 14th December 2021 at Sheraton Mustika Hotel, Jogja, Indonesia where Erina Sofia Gudono was crowned as Puteri Indonesia DI Yogyakarta 2022. Erina was crowned by none other than the reigning queen Ayu Maulida, Puteri Indonesia 2020.
Puteri Indonesia DI Yogyakarta 2022 Erina Sofia Gudono’s court included-
First Runner-up – Shania Binti Mahir Hamdun
Second Runner-up – Bita Saraswati
“It still felt surreal that I am officially became Puteri Indonesia Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 2022 as well as Puteri Indonesia Intelegensia DIY 2022. It brought me back to 11 years ago where my dad gave me a book long before he passed away titled “How to be a Princess on Your Own” by Former Puteri Indonesia Zivanna Letisha - it had deeply embedded in my mind that I have to keep thrive and strive because Puteri is not only what seems in the outside, but about who we are fundamentally as a human, with or without a crown,” the queen shared the news on her social media after winning the title.
“So I would like to give my uttermost thank you, to my parents and family who spend day and night praying for me, to Yayasan Puteri Indonesia for the chance, to my team who gave all heart&hard work, to all Pageant Lovers who believe in me, and to countless of friends who cheer me up when I felt like breaking barriers. Congratulations to all amazing Puteris i met during this journey. This is only the beginning, I listen all of the insights and inputs, and will improve myself for bigger journey ahead,” she added.
The Top 5 for the evening included Shania Binti Mahir Hamdun, Bita Saraswati, Erina Sofia Gudono, Beatrix Laura and Abel Prathama Darmawan. The jury was benched by Mr. Mega Angkasa, MM - Chairman of Communication Yayasan Puteri Indonesia, Mrs. Santi Vita Nurohmmah - Operational Director of Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa, Aline Laksminingtyas, M.Psi , Psikolog - Puteri indonesia DIY Photogenic & Intelegensia 2015, Rosa Ayuning Sasmita - Recruitment & Employer Branding Specialist and Linda Susanti - Fashion Designer & Owner Griya Ageman.
