Puteri Indonesia 2022, the 25th Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on 27th May 2022 at Jakarta Convention Centre, Jakarta, Indonesia, where stunning finalists from all over the country will represent their respective provinces and compete for the national title. At the end of the event, Cindy May McGuire of DKI Jakarta 5 was crowned Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2022 and will represent Indonesia at Miss International 2022.

The newly crowned queen shared, “I was both extremely happy and shocked when my name and province was being called. I am very humbled and honored to be chosen as Putri Indonesia Lingkungan 2022 and Miss International Indonesia 2022.”

It's been a very long journey to be in this position. I am very grateful and thankful for every single soul who has given their unconditional love and endless support for me. Indeed, the main support system are my family, friends, coaches and teams, and all pageant lovers in Indonesia and around the world,” Cindy further added.

Cindy May McGuire currently works as a general practitioner, model, commercial talent, and auditor at an aircraft company. She is also currently pursuing a dual master's degree at UNSW majoring in Health Management and Infectious Disease Leadership/Intelligence and wants to continue to learn and gain experience to help Indonesia be at the forefront of providing health services to the community.

Cindy wants to form a volunteer doctor organization to improve the Indonesian health care system to agree on and promote the improvement of the Indonesian health care system. She succeeds Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2020 Putu Ayu Saraswati for the title and will now prepare for her international stint for the Miss International 2022 competition, the 60th edition of Miss International, scheduled to be held in December in Japan.
