Puteri Indonesia 2018 got its 39 beautiful candidates just a few days back and now the girls have been official unveiled in front of the media and the world at the press presentation of the competition held at Solo Lounge, Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta, today, 28th February 2018.
Present as panellists at the Press Conference was Chairman of the Board of Trustees Puteri Indonesia Foundation, Princess Kus Wisnu Wardani, Chairman of the Foundation Puteri Indonesia, Prof. Wardiman Djojonegoro along with the reigning queens Puteri Indonesia 2017 Bunga Jelitha, Puteri Indonesia International 2017 Kevin Lilliana, Puteri Indonesia Tourism 2017 Karina Nadila and Puteri Indonesia Grand International 2017 Dea Rizkita.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees Puteri Indonesia Foundation, Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani said that the pageant’s theme "Encouraging Creativity Strengthening Nations” was chosen to foster the spirit of young Indonesian teenagers and young women to play a positive role to encourage creativity and foster the potential of the country through them while also helping Puteri Indonesia in developing the country in various fields, as well as a role model for the younger generation to strengthen the diversity of the Nation.
"We want to encourage Indonesian women to develop their potential and love the country in a positive way. These finalists of PPI 2018 have a variety of creativity and diversity potential," said Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani.
Also, Puteri Indonesia in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia will choose a representative from the finalists of Puteri Indonesia 2018 to be appointed Ambassador of Tourism for tourist destinations "10 BALI NEW" Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia. It is an honour for Puteri Indonesia to participate in government programs especially at the Ministry of Tourism in an effort to introduce tourism object in Indonesia which is international standard to wide audiences not only at domestic level but also abroad.
Puteri Indonesia is one of the largest pageants of the country with the influx of maximum number of ladies pouring in from the various provinces of the country. The selection procedure and criteria of these girls is very strict and the pageant organizers make sure that the best of the best are selected eventually for the national contest.
