Meet Miss Philippines Earth 2018 contestant Lea Macapagal

Miss Philippines Earth 2018, has made all its finalists known. The pageant is another one of really popular pageants in the country, and a celebrated one too. Over 40 girls have been selected as the contestants from thousands of applications. These earth warriors will fight for the crown, that currently belongs to Miss Earth Karen Ibasco, and a winner will be crowned at the finale of Miss Philippines Earth 2018 on 19th May 2018 at MOA Arena.

But before we the finale, it’s necessary to get to know the ladies fighting for the crown.

The representative of Dinalupihan, Bataan is Lea Macapagal. The beauty queen has been given the title of the Goddess Of The Green. 20 years old, Lea is a Customs Administration student. She stands tall at 5 feet 5 inches and measures 34 inches - 24 inches - 36 inches.

Lea’s fondest memories of her preteen years is enjoying nature’s best. She would go swimming in the streams and climb mango tree with her cousins. A true Earth queen even back then. She also holds dearly, the lesson that Life is given to learning to endure what every moment has to offer. The dearest memorable moment from her childhood, however, is playing Tumbang Preso and Hide and Seek with her childhood friends.

On why she wants to be Miss Philippines Earth, Lea has a simple answer. She says, “I want to be Miss Philippines Earth 2018 for I want to be of service to others through my advocacy by taking risks and creating change in uplifting the current scenario of our environment.”

Her environmental advocacy is; ‘No Segregation, No Collection Policy in collecting waste and the re-invention of “Bayong Usage” instead of plastics bags to reduce the accumulation of plastic usage.’

With goals as clear as crystal, Lea Macapagal will be walking the stage of Miss Philippines Earth 2018 on 19th May.
