Puteri Indonesia 2016 is on its road to the finale and will be the 20th edition of the pageant. The reigning Puteri Indonesia, Anindya Kusuma Putri will crown her successor at the conclusion of the event. There will be a total of 39 contestants who will represent the 34 provinces of Indonesia. The winner will represent Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2016, while the runner-ups will compete at the Miss International 2016 and Miss Supranational 2016.

Out of a total of 39 contestants, 29 delegates have already been announced, the 29 contestants are - Khairunnisa Zakaria, Ariska Putri Pertiwi, Intan Aletrino, Kurnia Illahi, Ratih Anggraini, Cinderi Maura Restu, Dessi Tri Widiarti, Felicia Hwang, Claudya Dara Chaerunnisa, Mutia Ardi, Niken Ayu Lativani Wahyudi, Diana Maharani, Kurnia Anggrayani, Belda Amelia, Evan Lysandra, Disma Ajeng Rastiti, Yohana Setianing Sejati, Badzlina Sukmawati, A.A.Sg. Istri Karina Prabasari, Ghea Putri Mulya, Kornelia Meilinda Betsyeba, Husnul Dwi Amalia, Novita Adipati Chandra, Silvi Monica, Yulinar Pratiwi Arief, Sophia Devi Kadda Taiyeb, Nastika Aprilia, Suci Khanisa, and Kezia Roslin Cikita Warouw.

The finale of the pageant will be attended by the reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines. The tentative list of judges have also been announced, they are –
