Puteri Indonesia, a beauty pageant that selects representatives for the Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Supranational pageants, was established in 1992 and is considered the oldest pageant in Indonesia. The Puteri Indonesia has endowed the International pageants with some truly fine contestants. Talking about the brilliance of the contestants, Puteri Indonesia 2014 the 18th Annual Puteri Indonesia beauty pageant delivered a plethora of talented candidates.
Puteri Indonesia 2014 was held in Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia on January 29, 2014. Amongst a total of thirty eight contestants, three dazzling contestants, astonished the judges with their performances and made it to the top 3 winners. The winners from the previous years were – Elvira Devinamira from East Java who was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2014 (Miss Universe Indonesia 2014) and went on to represent Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant, Elfin Pertiwi Rappa from South Sumatera was the First Runner-up and was titled as Puteri Indonesia 2014 Lingkungan (Miss International Indonesia 2014) and represented Indonesia at the Miss International 2014, and Estelita Liana from DI Yogyakarta was the Second Runner-up and was adjudged with the title of Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2014 (Miss Supranational Indonesia 2014) and represented Indonesia at the Miss Supranational 2014 pageant.

The three winners from previous year (Elvira, Elfin and Estelita) were stupendous and gave out exceptionally stunning performances during their reign at their respective pageants. The three beauties excelled in the international pageants, in fact two of them were placed amongst the Top finalists. Elfin Pertiwi Rappa was placed in Top 10 at Miss International 2014, among Seventy-Two other contestants and Elvira Devinamira was placed amongst Top 15 at Miss Universe 2014, from Eighty-Seven other contestants respectively. Not only did they make it to the Top finalists, all three of them also won the Special Award for the Best National Costume, in their individual pageants. The three beautiful delegates of Indonesia brought home great fame and substantial prominence in the year 2014 with their magnificent performances.
On the eve of February 20th, at the finale of Puteri Indonesia 2015, these beauties passed on their crowns, and the opulence of seizing the loyalty of representing one’s nation, to their successors. At the conclusion of the grand night, Anindya Kusuma Putri from Jawa Tengah was crowned as the winner of Puteri Indonesia 2015 or Miss Universe Indonesia 2015. She will now represent Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. Also Chintya Fabyola from Kalimantan Barat was crowned Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2015 or Miss International Indonesia 2015 and will now participate at the Miss International 2015. Gresya Amanda Maaliwuga, who hails from Sulawesi Utara, was declared the Second Runner-up and awarded the title of Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2015 or Miss Supranational Indonesia 2015, who now will represent Indonesia at the Miss Supranational 2015.
