National pageants are kicking up in full zeal and fervour this year, and the organisations in each country are making sure to produce the best contender for the international pageants. The newest kid in the list of international pageants is the Miss Grand International pageant. 2017 is going to be the fifth edition of the pageant, but in just 4 years the MGI has seen a great hike in terms of popularity. Hence, more and more countries are taking the pageant seriously into consideration and are working to produce the best delegate for the title.

Miss Grand Malaysia 2017 is on its road to search the perfect contender for the title, who will best represent the country at Miss Grand International 2017. Miss Grand Malaysia 2017 has opened its registration, and is auditioning across the country to find the group of girls who will compete for the coveted title of Miss Grand Malaysia 2017.

The reigning Miss Grand Malaysia is Ranmeet Jassal. Ranmeet represented Malaysia at the Miss Grand International 2016 pageant, however was unplaced. Ranmeet is a qualified 1st class Honors Medical Doctor who graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India. She is active in charity project that helps the needy and create awareness on rare diseases which are not known to the public. She is also a creative person who has acquired skills like dancing, playing the Dhol and harmonium.

The finale of Miss Grand Malaysia 2017 is scheduled to be held in the month of July 2017. To qualify for the National Pageant, a delegate must win the State Level Pageant or receive the Wildcard entry given by Miss Grand Malaysia Organization.

The winner will earn the right to represent Malaysia at the Miss Grand International 2017 and will be crowned by Ariska Putri Miss Grand International 2016. Ariska Pertiwi bagged the main title of 2016 Miss Grand International pageant during its coronation gala, which was held on 25th October 2016 at the Westgate International Theater, Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, in United States of America.
