Silas Tuaputa crowned as Miss International Cook Islands 2017

Silas Tuapata has been crowned as Miss International Cook Islands 2017 on 29th July 2017 at National Auditorium. She will now fly to Japan to represent Cook Islands at 57th edition of Miss International 2017 which will be held on 14th November 2017.

Silas is just 21 years old who considers her parents as her role model. Apart from modelling, she also loves dancing and playing Netball. Tuaputa was also awarded the “Rakei Wearable Arts” and “Te Reo Korero” prizes.

At the same pageant, Alanna Smith was crowned as Miss Cook Islands 2017. Alanna will represent the Cook Islands at Miss World 2017, scheduled to be held on 18th November 2017. Mona Taio was crowned as the first runner-up and she will represent the nation at Miss Earth 2017, which is scheduled to be held on November 4, 2017 in Philippines.

Other special awards went to Teivanui Maui (Miss Congeniality Contestants Choice), Georgia Short (Photogenic) and Heleina Strickland (Muumuu Gown).

Cook Islands have never won the title of Miss International and is now hoping to win the title by sending Silas Tuapata as their representative at Miss International 2017. Do you think Silas can bring home the crown this year?
