Morocco is all set to return to Miss World this year after decades as the country last participated in Miss World in 1968. Pageant veteran Sonia Aït Mansour Miss World Morocco 2022-23 is currently preparing to represent her country at the international platform. Sonia is a French-Moroccan model who holds extensive experience in pageantry.
Based in Marrakech, Morocco, Mansour previously lived in Paris, France and Rabat, Morocco. Sonia started her pageant journey in 2015 where she represented France at Face of Beauty International 2015 and place in the Top 15. After that, she was crowned Miss Prestige Paris-Île de France 2015 in Paris.
In 2016, she represented Île de France at Miss Prestige National 2016. In the same year, she then represented France at Top Model of the World 2016 in Germany but remained unplaced. In 2017, Sonia represented France at Miss Europe 2017 and competed against 34 other candidates in Seoul, South Korea but remained unplaced.
The same year, Sonia represented France at Miss Eco International 2017 and then later competed at Miss Grand International 2017 and competed against 76 other candidates at Vinpearl Convention Center in Phú Qu?c, Vietnam where she was unplaced.
In 2018, Sonia represented France at Miss Supranational 2018 and competed against 71 other candidates at Hala MOSiR Arena, Krynica-Zdrój, Poland where she was unplaced. In 2019, Sonia represented France at Miss Tourism and Culture Universe 2019 where she was adjudged fifth runner-up.
In 2019, Sonia represented Morocco at Miss International 2019 and competed against 82 other candidates at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan where she was unplaced. Sonia went on to represent France at Miss World Noble Queen International 2019 in Hong Kong and won the title. In 2022, she represented France at Miss Supermodel Worldwide 2022 as was adjudged as the third runner-up.
With such an extensive experience in the pageantry, Sonia will definitely be a strong contender at Miss World this year. Miss World 2023 will be the 71st edition of Miss World to be held in the United Arab Emirates. Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
