Maria Lepida crowned Miss World Greece 2018

At the grand coronation night of Star Hellas 2018 (Miss Hellas 2018/ Miss Young 2018) held yesterday night at 30th September 2018 with the theme of ‘ Beauty beyond Imagination’, Maria Lepida was crowned Miss Hellas 2018. With this, she became the official representative of Greece in the upcoming Miss World 2018.

The newly crowned Miss World Greece 2018 Maria Lepida is 20 years of age who won the title of Miss Peloponnese 2018 before qualifying for Star Hellas 2018. She is a bilingual as she can fluently speak Greek as well as English. Maria won everyone’s heart at the competition with her brilliant performance.

Both the newly crowned queens were a part of our ‘Seven Stars of Star Hellas 2018’ where we predicted our Top 7 favourite contestants competing for the competition. Also at the finale, Angeliki Mavrommati was crowned Miss Young 2018. The other three subsidiary titles crowned at the competition were –

1st Runner-Up Star Hellas 2018 – Anastasia Kalogeri

1st Runner-Up Miss Hellas 2018 – Marina Grigoriou

1st Runner-Up Miss Young 2018 – Peny Metaxa

 

Maria Lepida crowned Miss World Greece 2018

 

Last year, Maria Psilou was crowned as Star Hellas 2017 and was supposed to represent Greece in Miss Universe 2017. However, she was subsequently appointed as the representative of Greece for Miss World 2017. Theodora Soukia who was crowned Miss Hellas 2017 was the original representative of Greece for Miss World 2017 but did not compete either in Miss Universe 2017 or Miss World 2017. Greece finally did not compete in Miss Universe 2017.
