Sushrii Shreya Mishraa, who was amongst the Top 10 finalists at Femina Miss India 2015 finals held on March 28' 2015, has been appointed to represent India at the Miss United Continents 2015. She also won three special awards at the Miss India 2015 finals; Miss Vivacious, Miss Rampwalk and Miss Active.
Sushrii hails from the coastal state Odisha and is a student at the SPM College of Delhi University. She completed her schooling from St. Joseph's Convent Higher Secondary School. Sushrii is not new to the pageantry world, she was placed in the Top 7 of Miss Diva 2013 pageant and prior to that she was also crowned as the Asian Super Model 2010 (India). Sushrii has a wide range of hobbies which include travelling, reading, dancing, horse riding, swimming and cooking. She is also an animal lover and has a pet dog too.
On hearing the news of being appointed to represent India at the Miss United Continents 2015, an elated Sushrii Shreya Mishraa said, “I'm so happy to be able to represent India, and such a huge responsibility I'm working towards making everyone proud...I need all your love and support in this. This is like a miracle, I have been blessed with to be able to represent my own country at international level; this is a huge opportunity for me to make my country proud. I am very positive and would certainly deliver my best to bring glory home. I thank the Miss India Organization for believing in me & providing me with this platform to represent India at Miss United Continent”
Miss United Continents 2015 will be organised by Municipality of Guayaquil and Gama TV, and will be held in Guayaquil, Ecuador on September 12' 2015. More than 30 countries are expected to participate in the contest. Geisha Montes de Oca, Miss United Continents 2014, from Dominican Republic will crown her successor at the finals of the event.
This is the third edition of the renewed Miss United Continents pageant and India has managed to make its mark at the Miss United Continents twice already. Gail Nicole Da Silva from India was placed as the first runner-up at the Miss United Continents 2014; besides winning Miss Photogenic and Best National Costume. Year before, Purva Rana from India was crowned as the Vice Queen at Miss United Continent 2013.
With India just missing the title in 2013 and 2014, will Sushrii be able to get the first Miss United Continents title for her country? What's your view?
