Tamara Jemuovic crowned as Miss Earth Canada 2016

Tamara Jemuovic, 22 years of age and 5’9”tall from Toronto, Ontario won the Miss Earth Canada 2016 title at the end of the scintillating crowning ceremony held on August 19’ 2016 at the La Plaza Salles de Reception in Montréal, Canada. She will now compete at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant which will be held on October 29’ 2016 at the venue to be announced soon by Carousel Productions Inc.
 
Over 90 countries and territories will vie for this prominent title with this year’s theme: “Empowered to make a Change”, wherein Angelia Ong, the reigning Miss Earth from the Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Tamara Jemuovic also won the Best in Swimwear and Tosca Style Award. She was crowned by the outgoing queen Tatiana Maranhao of Leamington. 
 
At the same gala ceremony, Samantha Fraughton (Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta) was adjudged as the first runner-up, while Dasol Lee was declared second runner-up. Jasmine Herrera (Guelph, Ontario) and Natalie Carriere (Timmins, Ontario) finished third and fourth runners-up respectively.
 
Apart from declaring the main winner, there were a series of Special Awards awarded to few contestants based on the preliminary competition.

Best in Evening Gown: Samantha Fraughton(Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta)
