Thailand’s performance in 2017 has been nothing short of spectacular!

Thailand gained heaps of compliments and acclaim for their phenomenal performance in the international beauty pageants this year. From Miss Universe 2017 to Miss Grand International 2017, each and every contestant from Thailand conquered their respective pageants with elegance and charm.

Let us take a look at Thailand’s achievement in five of the major international pageants that happened last year –

Maria Lynn Ehren in Miss Universe 2017 – Top 5

Miss Universe Thailand 2017 Maria Lynn Ehren, widely known as Maria Poonlertlarp is a Swedish-Thai model and singer who finished as a Top 5 finalist in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. From Bangkok, Maria completed her masters in International Business commerce.

Maria entered Miss Universe Thailand 2017 already a favourite for her existing fame as a model and her English-language skills. After her win, she didn’t disappoint her country at Miss Universe 2017 stage as she became the first candidate to enter the Top 5 spot in the past 29 years. There is no denying the fact that Maria can reach even greater heights with her talent and charm.

 

 

Lookpat Ratiyaporn in Miss International 2017 – Top 15

Lookpat Ratiyaporn (aka Ratiyaporn Chookaew), the 20-year-old beauty from the province of Phatthalung was appointed Miss International Thailand 2017 and represented her country in Miss International 2017 last year. She finished as the Top 15 finalist in the competition continuing the streak of entering the semi-final round from past 8 yeras.

She is a freshman student majoring in Economics and Business Administration at the prestigious Thaksin University. Standing 178 cm tall, Lookpat has established herself as a strong independent woman with her brilliant performance last year.

Paweensuda Drouin in Miss Earth 2017 – Top 8

Paweensuda Drouin is a 23-year-old Thai-Chinese descent beauty from Bangkok. Standing at a whopping 181 cm tall, Paweensuda graduated with the highest Latin honour - Summa Cum Laude distinction at the University of Calgary in Canada where she took her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.

Paweensuda is not new to the world of pageantry as she was crowned 2nd runner-up of Miss Thailand Chinese Cosmos 2013 and 1st runner-up of Miss Thailand 2013. Last year, she finished as 2nd runner-up in Miss Universe Thailand 2017 and thus, represented Thailand in Miss Earth 2017. Paweensuda, unfortunately, could not win but finished in Top 4, making it a successful year for her country all the more.

 

 

Jiraprapa Boonnuang in Miss Supranational 2017 – Top 10

Jiraprapa Boonnuang, the 22-year-old diva was crowned Miss Supranational Thailand 2017 on 2nd September 2017 and thereafter represented Thailand in Miss Supranational 2017. From Yasothon, Jiraprapa Boonnuang gave a commendable performance in the finale but unfortunately could not win the title. Nevertheless, she finished in the Top 10 and was applauded for her sophistication and befitting portrayal of her personality.

 

 

Pamela Pasinetti in Miss Grand International 2017 – Top 10

Pamela Pasinetti (aka Pam Premika Pamela), the 23-year-old Thai-Italian diva, was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2017 and later represented her country in Miss Grand International 2017. Standing 175 cm tall, she performed brilliantly throughout the competition and finished as Top 10 finalist.

 A business administration student, Pamela is a huge fan of swimming, singing and power lifting. Interestingly, she also has a YouTube account where she posts covers of famous songs.
