After a highly appreciated performance and emerging as one of the favourites, Miss Universe Thailand 2021 first runner-up Tharina Botes is now rumoured to join Miss South Africa for the upcoming edition. The diva is also currently in South Africa and attended Miss South Africa 2018 Tamaryn Green's wedding.

Not new to South African pageantry, Tharina represented South Africa in Miss International 2016, then she joined Miss South Africa in 2018 where she landed top 12. The South African-Thai beauty stands 160 cm tall and has been outshining as a strong beauty queen in the industry.

This gorgeous diva holds a bachelor’s in commerce degree in Economics. Tharina also has a long list of accomplishments when it comes to pageantry; Tharina, in 2019, was crowned Miss Grand Phuket 2019 and represented Phuket at Miss Grand Thailand 2019 where she placed in the Top 10.

She is strong, confident, stunning and has a powerful aura around her and is definitely an ideal choice for the stage of Miss Universe. It will definitely be exciting to see which country’s national pageant will she join next, South Africa or Thailand.

Miss South Africa 2022 has officially opened its applications and will soon elect the divas who will represent the country at international platforms such as Miss World and Miss Universe. The reigning Miss South Africa 2021 Lalela Mawane will crown her successor at the end of the event.
