The Miss World Philippines organization recently held a catching up press conference for Miss World Philippines at Pandan Asian Café, Quezon City on 2nd February 2022. The press meet held Wednesday was Tracy’s first official interaction with the media after the postponement of Miss World finals.

The finale of Miss World 2021 was scheduled to take place on 16th December 2021 but instead got pushed back to March this year due to mounting cases of Covid-19 in the region. Despite the ambivalence and tension, Perez took it in positive stride and believes it to be a blessing in disguise. “It could be frustrating for some, but I tried my best to compose and calm myself, ‘coz it’s something I couldn’t control. I’ll just take it as a blessing that I’ll have more time to prepare,” she shared.

The event was a special thanks to Arnold L. Vegafria, ALV Talent Circuit Inc., ALV Pageant Circle and Aldrich Dabao. Maintaining the same poise, the Cebu city resident looked stunning in her custom silk gold dress by Daniel Manila as she addressed the pageant fans yesterday.

“I have worked the hardest to be where I am, and I am proud of that. I basically came from scratch, and they see that. They don’t see a beauty queen, they see a person. And that’s very important,” reflected the Filipino beauty.

“This will be our time in Miss World,” Perez answered on being asked what is it that she looks forward to this time in Puerto Rico aside from reuniting with her sisters at Miss World.

Since her return to Manila in mid-January, Tracy Maureen Perez had been involved in relief operations for the victims of Typhoon Odette, which also struck her hometown Argao in Cebu.

Back in December, Tracy had already secured a spot in the Top 30 by winning the Head-to-Head Challenge but will she be able to keep the same momentum as one of the strongest contenders once Miss World resumes?
