Miss Universe India 2015 Urvashi Rautela has been chosen as the nationwide ambassador for Mission Paani Jal Shakti water conservation campaign. Previously actor Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan were the poster boys of this national crusade.

The diva has been long fighting this battle along with Urvashi Rautela Foundation, helping hundreds of communities in hilly areas of Uttarakhand, Pauri, Garhwal and Haridwar gain access to clean and safe water.

"In India and around the world, millions are navigating the Covid pandemic with the added challenge of living without access to safe water. Now more than ever access to safe water is critical to the health of families in India", says the Gargi College alumna.

Talking about her vision for this year, the model and actor shared with Miss Diva organization that she hopes to mobilise resources to increase access to improved sanitation and safe water as water is the Driving force for all nature.

Urvashi took to her social media to express her gratitude on the opportunity and shared, “Thank you Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Ji for this world class opportunity. We need to ensure that every rural person has enough safe water for drinking, cooking and other domestic needs. Also thanking Prime Minister Of India Narendra Modi Ji. Conserve water conserve life.”

The gorgeous actor was last seen judging the Miss Universe 2021 where India’s Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu was crowned as the Miss Universe 2021. She also has multiple film projects lined up for this year.
