Valerie Weigmann has been crowned Miss World Philippines 2014 at the conclusion of coronation night held tonight at the Mall of Asia Arena, Manila, Philippines. She succeeds the beautiful Miss World Philippines 2013 Megan Young, who is also the reigning Miss World. Twenty-six (26) beautiful ladies competed for the coveted title at the gala finals night.
Valerie also walked away with a number of special awards and sponsor awards including Best in Long Gown, Best in Fashion Runaway, Miss Solaire, Miss Figlia, Jessie Mendez Salon Ambassador, Miss Reticin 2014, Miss Bluewater Day Spa, Miss Bench, Miss Olay and Miss Hana.

Valerie, who is 24 years of age and stands tall at 175cm, will now represent Philippines at Miss World 2014 pageant to be held in London, England later this year. And she will be under considerable pressure to deliver a back-to-back title for Philippines. Megan Young was the first Filipina to win the Miss World title for Philippines in the year 2013.
